Mylor Farm is home to an abundance of fauna, including native Australian species that live on the property. Birdwatchers will find a treasure trove of diversity; we have documented over 40 species of birds whose calls fill the surrounding treetops.

There is also a kangaroo reserve on the property which offers refuge to our friendly kangaroos. Stroll up the boardwalk path encircling the property until you find the entrance. Once arrived, you can help yourself to some feed, and spend a moment getting to know these beautiful, gentle creatures.

The Adelaide Hills is recognised world-wide as one of Australia’s premier wine regions. With countless wineries and casual or fine dining options within a stone’s throw, venturing out for a day’s tasting exploration is only too easy. Or, if choosing to stay on site, we’ve supplied a selection of the region’s most delicious reds and whites for you to savour fire-side. We’ve also left you with ample firewood to keep any wintry evenings cozy – but feel free to make a family adventure of foraging for more across the property.

‍If you prefer an active retreat, our vegetable garden is seasonal, and guests are always welcome to get their hands dirty helping out. Further flower beds around the house and an enchanting secret garden near our treehouse.

Why not pick yourself a basket of fresh veggies and herbs from the garden? A perfect canvas to create a farm fresh meal in the fully-equipped modern kitchen, which can be enjoyed in our country dining room or al fresco deck space.

Roam freely and explore the woodlands with its wildflowers. Try your hand fishing from the creek, or bring a dish and pan for gold! Other activities include hiking the Heysen Trail, mountain and road biking, and of course enjoying the local produce offered abundantly throughout the many country markets, restaurants, and wineries in the Adelaide Hills area!
